First Monday Trade Days in Canton is a huge flea market, with tons of items from new to gently used to so-old-it’s-new-again items! Open once a month, the weekend preceding the First Monday, there is so much to see you really can’t do it all in one day! Luckily, we love The Mountain at First Monday, with not only some adorable shops, restaurants, and an Old West Gun Show, but also some great B&B’s where you can relax for the evening, or put away your purchases and head down to hear live music every Trade Day weekend until 11pm!
My daughter and I took a fun girl’s weekend to do some shopping, foot scrubbing and just general Mom and Daughter bonding!
Even during the summer, the trees on The Mountain made a huge difference is keeping us a little cooler! During the holidays, the entire Mountain is decorated for Halloween and Christmas, and since the fun on The Mountain never stops after dark, it’s all lit up like a fairy tale!
But it’s summer now, and they have out the cutest home decor that we just haven’t seen anyplace else!
Each shop is independently owned, and you never know what you’ll find!
We stocked up on bath bombs and candles! Then we headed over to Magic Mirror Foot Detox., we had so much fun and our feet definitely felt better!
We loved the repurposed jewelry at Inna’s Place, and the prices were great!
I absolutely love this horse sculpture! There are several cute little galleries, and even a place that does Art Parties! That would be a great addition to a Girl’s Weekend!
Even in July it’s Christmas at 365 Days of Christmas!
The humorous Gunfight happens several times a day, and we enjoyed sitting back in the shade and watching as these misfit cowboys had us laughing and learning a little about the Old West, too!
Don’t miss a chance to get a cold drink at the Saddle Seat Bar! There are six different restaurants on The Mountain, from Cajun to Coffee Shops!
These are the Dockside Cottages, just some of the rooms for rent on the Mountain!
They each had a cute, nautical theme!
There are plenty of places to stay, for a big or small group!
Most of the rooms offer complimentary golf cart shuttle service, too!
October, November and December are the busiest months, so make your reservations in advance! Each month also has a fun theme to go with it!
