Hello Summer! We started our first day of summer out at Splash Kingdom Waterpark in Canton! It was the perfect outing for celebrating the beginning of summer, and we had a great time! My youngest saw the big sandcastle from the highway, and began cheering! Although the park was pretty full, we hardly had to wait in any lines, which was terrific! Of course, like all Splash Kingdom Waterparks, it was extremely clean and everyone was very friendly!
Owned by a Christian family, it’s a terrific, family-friendly environment!
Check out My Mommy Tips for making the most of your visit.
Know Before You Go
Lifejackets are provided free of charge, on a first come-first serve basis.
Lockers are available for rental.
Coolers and outside food and drinks are not permitted.
You can bring in an empty water bottle to fill up with water from a water fountain.
Lazy River
My favorite part of any water park is the lazy river, and the longer the better! What I really liked about the lazy river at Splash Kingdom was that there was only one in and out, so I didn’t have to worry about letting my youngest swim ahead, or us get lost. It was also easy to remember where I left my flip flops.
It’s 3′ deep, and it’s lazy, without rapids, etc.
Slides
There are 9 slides at Splash Kingdom, Canton and we rode them all!
The Flush
My kids all loved The Flush!
The best part was the end, when you just fall into a pool! Go feet first!
My youngest loved the Volcano, because what 7 year old wouldn’t?!
I have always had an unrealistic fear of water slides, but last year I decided I would ride every slide at every park we visited, and now I love them!
Wave Pool
We loved the double tubes in the Wave Pool!
Seating
We made our “camp” at the Splash Pad, but there is seating EVERYWHERE! Some of it is in the shade, but most is in the sun. We don’t spend a lot of time at our seats, so we didn’t care, but if you want to be assured of good, shaded seating:
Arrive Early to pick out the best!
Bring a blanket or simply move the park’s chairs under the trees. This seemed to work well for lots of people at the park!
Volleyball
My daughter loves Sand Volleyball, and Splash Kingdom has a court and volleyballs, just waiting on you!
3D Glow in the Dark Miniature Golf
My 7 year-old LOVES Mini Golf, and this was HEAVEN for him!! Yes, it cost more, $3/person, but it was a great way to take a rest our of the sun!
Height Requirements
I love that we could check out what rides my youngest could ride before we went inside! This year, he could ride them all!
Food
The concession stand sells pizza, chicken nuggets, nachos, a really yummy wrap, ice cream and more!
They offer an refillable drink and a refillable popcorn tub.
Splash Kingdom Waterpark doesn’t allow outside food or drinks, but they do offer covered tables in the parking lot where you can take a break and go get your food out of your car for a picnic!
