Hawaiian Falls Waterpark in Roanoke is the home of Mega Waterworld, the World’s Largest Aqua Play Structure, according to Hawaiian Falls. We had to check it out this summer, and didn’t let a really cloudy day, with a few light showers, interrupt our fun! In fact, the weather and cooler August temperatures also kept away the crowds, so that there were hardly any lines! Best of all, when it did start raining in the afternoon, Hawaiian Falls gave us all a rain ticket to come back another day!

Know Before You Go
Free Parking
No outside food, like Whataburger, allowed! Coolers require an additional fee.
Arm floaties are not allowed, children must wear a US Life Guard Approved life jacket. The park has them available on a first-come basis!

Instead of slides scattered throughout the park, most of the slides are all together, which makes watching my young niece and older kids easy, something I loved!
If your kids love the big buckets that drop, then this is the place for you! I’ve never seen a bucket drop so often!

Breaker Bay
Free tubes in the wave pool, although I like to just play in the waves!
During our visit, a park announcer played fun games in the wave pool, like Red Light Green Light! They also had a hula contest on stage, and what kid doesn’t want to be on stage!

The largest waterslides are stand alone, but still close enough where I could wave to my kids in line!

I think the game Mousetrap was the inspiration for all the slides!

Hawaiian Halfpipe
The favorite ride was unanimous, the Hawaiian Halfpipe, which has a minimum weight of 300 lbs., meaning they all HAD to ride! They loved it!

One of the nicest thing about everything being so close together is that everything is WET! No scorched feet or need for water shoes!

Tsunami Soakers
Only open during certain times, this fun water balloon launch was a definite thumbs up!

We were greeted by water-spewing frogs and turtles as we drifted along on the lazy river!

Until these two cuties came along and capsized my tube!
