Space Center Houston at the Johnson Space Center is the Visitors Center for NASA’s Mission Control and Astonaut Training facility! It’s filled with interactive and fun exhibits that kids will love, as well as terrific historical attractions of the Apollo missions, Space Shuttle and the Moon! You can tour the inside of the Space Shuttle Independence replica, and take the tram tour to the Mission Control and Rocket Park!
Know Before You Go
Parking is good all day, so you can come and go.
There is a large food court, or you can use the outside picnic tables if you choose to bring your own food!
Allow at least 4 hours to see and do everything.
Independence Plaza
The replica of the shuttle Independence offers a glimpse into life on a shuttle, with plenty of interactive displays about the Shuttle Program!
Tram Tours
The 90-minute tour takes you to Mission Control and to Rocket Park!
Gift Shop
Space Center Houston offers a HUGE gift shop, with all sorts of fun souvenirs!
