Sundance Square is located in downtown Fort Worth, just down the street from the Tarrant County Courthouse, and it’s a wonderful place to dine, watch movies or live entertainment! On weekends it’s a date-night destination, but it’s also a wonderful venue for families!

Know Before You Go
Gone are the red umbrellas and free valet parking from the past, but there is still free parking in Garage 3 and Garage 4 for 2.5 hours Monday – Friday from 6am – 6pm, and after 6 weekdays and all day on Saturday and Sunday. Just a heads up though, click HERE to visit the Sundance Square Parking Page, because it changes.

The Fountains
My son loves to play in the fountains each summer, and honestly, I think he ran through them once or twice in December after we saw Santa Claus! Just a couple of rules; swim wear is not allowed, and kids must be in street clothes. They definitely enforce it, too.
AMC Palace 9
We love watching movies at the AMC Palace 9, the big pink theater! You can purchase your tickets online and reserve your seats. Click HERE to visit their website.
Schools can also reserve a screen to watch the movie, “The Alamo, The Price of Freedom” as a field trip!

Sundance Square Plaza
The heart of Sundance Square is the Plaza, where you can hear live music or watch free outdoor movies during the summer.

Dining
There are amazing restaurants all around Sundance Square, but if you’re taking the kids, some of our favorites are Tejas de Brazil, Simply Fondue, Razzo’s and Yolk! I’m not a fan of all Razoo’s, but the one in Sundance Square is really good, plus I love this table in the above pic.! You can’t reserve it, first come.

Located next to Razoo’s is this cool little alleyway with these great lights! It is so cool! Head on down the alley to the courtyard, which opens to Plantology, a really neat little shop.

Christmas
Sundance Square shines brightest at Christmas! The Christmas tree is brought in before Thanksgiving, and the lighting festival is a big event!
The Parade of Lights is held each Saturday before Thanksgiving. The parade runs through downtown Fort Worth. It’s a very well-attended event, and for a good seat you need to arrive early, very early!

There are plenty of fun photo ops at Sundance Square, too!

Santa
While the line for Santa can be lengthy on weekends and the closer you get to the big day, it’s totally worth it!
