It’s hard to miss the Silo’s at Sawyer Yard, a collection of old grain silos lit up each evening, the anchoring landmark of Houston’s Sawyer Yards. Set between active railyards, it’s probably not the first place you’d expect to find one of Houston’s most progressive art scene and retail/restaurant destinations, but thanks to the unique vision of it’s founders, this artist community is thriving just 1.5 miles from Downtown Houston!

On any typical day at Sawyer Yards, you’ll find amazing art galleries, such as SITE Gallery, Poitin (named for an Irish Moonshine but has one of my favorite weekend brunches) and much more, but our favorite time to visit is for the First Saturday Arts Market! You can shop the vendors and explore this incredible location, plus enjoy live music and relax under the lights in the evenings! Of course, admission is FREE, as is the parking!

My Tip: Wear your comfy clothes for a fun adventure of rock climbing at Momentum! Great for a family outing or a unique date idea, it’s something you won’t soon forget!
