We go to a lot of bowling alleys, and we go to a lot of aquariums, but this fun bowling alley is literally the best of both worlds! Uncle Buck’s Fishbowl and Grill is a fun bowling alley, set to look like you’re bowling underwater! There are fun murals, the walls and ceiling are painted to resemble the water, and even cascading lights give you the feeling of bowling on the bottom of the ocean, but the sea-blue bowling lanes make you feel like you are walking on water, and world’s away from the ordinary wood lanes we grew up with! They also have an arcade and a grill set in a sunken ship, so you can make a fun day of it!
It’s part of Outdoor World, but instead of a camping theme, the alley is all about fish!
While there aren’t any real fish at the Fish Bowl, there are tons of fish hanging off the ceiling, murals on the wall, and great lights that make it seem as though you really are standing at the bottom of the ocean!
Even the ball returns are creative!
It is just so much fun! It’s also pretty popular, so expect a wait during peak times! They don’t take lane reservations, they are first come.
Each lane also comes with a waitstaff to take your order. We were starving and ordered a full meal, which is hard to eat when you’re bowling. I’d really suggest heading over to their restaurant first,
They also offer birthday parties for kids and even adults!
There is even a fun arcade, with more fish on the walls, and a full-service bar located in what resembles an old, sunken ship!
After our game, which lasted right at the hour allotted time, we walked around outside to take a look at the new bass boats. Our family of 5 squeezes in a boat built for 3, and we really need to upgrade!
Since Uncle Buck’s Fishbowl is connected to Outdoor World, we had a little fun shopping inside, too!

Round Rock Bats is a fun thing to do on a summer evening! Right at dusk you’ll see thousands of bats coming out from under I-35 at the McNeil exit! Just keep your eyes on the road or exit and watch them!
