It’s summer and if you just want to have some silly fun with your kids, and who doesn’t, then take them to Jurassic Car Wash in Austin! Extra parenting points if you get the car DIRTY before you go!
This car wash is all about fun, CLEAN FUN!
We were driving home from Corpus Christi, and my husband mentions the car needs a wash to get off the salt and sand, and the kids immediately started yelling for the Jurassic Car Wash! It’s just a few minutes off I-35 on South Congress (take the Stassney Ln. exit)!
$10 for the Works, or just $5 for a Classic Wash!
Bring some quarters ($.75) to activate the animatronic dinosaurs in the back!
Or you can wash your car at one of the bays!
For extra mom points, let the kids wash it while wearing one of these!
But those little arms probably won’t be much good! But while the car is being washed you can google and laugh at T-rex jokes!
Just follow the dinosaur tracks!
If you’re family furr baby needs a bath, you can bring them, too! It’s $12 for 10 minutes in the DIY Pet Wash, which includes oatmeal shampoo, conditioner and a treat!
The only downside to this fun, 24/7 car wash is that there isn’t a gift shop!
I love the idea of themed car washes, and hope that Jurassic Car Wash owner John Borek opens a few more around the state, or other fun-themed washes! In California, there is a car wash with a tropical theme, complete with parrots and exotic birds! In Australia, a car wash has an animatronic elephant that sprays down your car!
