While we are traveling, I’m multi-tasking between living in the moment with my family and working to take pictures, see everything, and just observe things that I think are noteworthy! After 7 years, I still love it, but it’s really fun when I get to combine it with a fun outing with our extended family, like celebrating my nephew’s birthday at Volente Beach Resort and Waterpark on Lake Travis, and just sit back, put down the camera and really enjoy myself!
There is SO much to do on Lake Travis, but this place really surprised me for how much there is! We stayed ALL DAY playing in the pool and on the lake! It was a perfect day!
The waterpark consist of pools, slides and you have a big beach with access to the lake and a swimming area! There are lifeguards at the pools and slides but not down at the lake!
For the birthday, we had several tables down on the lawn under the trees, it was perfect with a great view of all the slides so I could keep an eye on my kids!
There are also little play areas for younger kids, too!
After dark, the restaurant and bar area really liven up, but they kept us filled up with drinks and I was really surprised by the food! It wasn’t your regular waterpark fare but really good! I loved their cheeseburgers!
The bar was great, too, and the staff was terrific!
We chose to take our food to our table, but they have an indoor and outdoor dining area, too!
You can dine at the restaurant without access to the waterpark, also!
It was a little hot to play in the big sandy area, where they have games such as cornhole!
We are a mess when it comes to corn hole! My kids think it’s some kind of Olympic event, and take the games very serious! Did you know that there are actually rules, points and winners? I thought it was just a drinking game!
We also take volleyball VERY serious, but the water felt a lot better than the hot sand until the sun went down.
We had brought our boat, and we able to park on the beach. We found a boat ramp nearby, and VIP Marina offers courtesy boat docks for the park. They also have a marina store, boat cruises, boat rentals and even parasailing! Click HERE to visit their website.

They allow outside food and drinks, but you must pay a pass for your cooler. Also, no outside beer is allowed in the park, but you can bring it to the beach. We left our cooler in our boat, and had no problems.
They also had cute little cottages for rent. They were booked for our weekend, but we’ll be back!

Parking was $7 cash and they have an attendant.
Pets are not allowed in the waterpark or restaurant, but are okay on the beach.
