The new year is only a few days away, and the Arlington YMCA on Cooper Street will see lots of new members and run some terrific specials, but one of the BEST facilities at this location isn’t inside the gym, it’s in the back!
Upcoming Events
The Y’s Annual “Haunted Trail” will be October 29th! Please contact the Y for times and prices!
The Exercise Trail!
And here’s a secret, it’s FREE to the public!
The trail is a shaded and well maintained 3/4 of a mile. We love walking along it, and the trees, plants and birds provide a relaxing location for walking off the day’s stress.
1. Getting There
The trailhead is located at the back of the YMCA. Parking is available in the adjacent parking lot.
Don’t forget to take water!
Along the trail, there are 3 stationary exercise stations, with detailed descriptions of how to use them.
Chapel
Hidden in the woods is a small, open chapel. It’s so lovely sitting there, but not used for any weekly sermon.
Haunted Trails
Each October, the trails are decorated and for one night near Halloween, they are home to the Haunted Trail, where spooks will delight you to raise money for the Y.
