One of, if not the most beautiful lake in Texas, Lake Travis is not what you think of when you think Texas! The lake known for it’s sparkling, green-blue water is one of the most traveled-to destinations in the Texas Hill Country, and there is so much to do! So much to do, that we have definitely not done all of it, but here’s a list of our favorites!
Marinas and Boat Rentals
Lone Star Party Boats Sit back and let Captain Beau show you and your friends and family a great time on Lake Travis on one of their amazing party boats! Explore the lake or tie up at Devil’s Cove for a great party!
VIP Marina Lake Travis Our go-to for seadoo rentals, we love to just get out on the water! They also rent boats.
Just For Fun on Emerald Point Marina Get out on the lake with a boat rental from Just For Fun! They have jet skis, ski boats and pontoon boats for a perfect day on the lake!
Riviera Marina Party Barges are a big thing this summer, and Riviera Boats can take your lake trip from mild to wild! They also rent ski boats and jet skis!
Lake Travis Yacht Rentals If you’re wanting something a little “less” barge, consider renting a yacht for a day! Each boat comes with a captain, so you can just sit back and enjoy the lake!
Austin Boat Tours Take an incredible sunset cruise on Lake Travis!
Viking Ship Kayak Rentals Explore the lake on a kayak, SUP or fishing kayak!
Beaches and Parks on Lake Travis
Pace Bend Park My very favorite thing to do on Lake Travis begins and ends with Pace Bend Park! I love this huge park on the water, but way off the busier part of the lake! They have great, primitive camping spots, hike and bike trails, 2 boat ramps, beaches and swimming areas and so much more!
Bob Wentz Park at Windy Point Right in the middle of the busiest part of the lake, you’ll find plenty to do here! A favorite for wind surfers and sailing enthusiast, the rocky beach and swim area get crowded on weekends, but worth it to visit during the week!
Lake Travis Restaurants
The Oasis You won’t find anyone to disagree that the most scenic restaurant on Lake Travis is the Oasis! Watching a sunset from the restaurant should be on everyone Bucket List!
Beachside Billy’s at Volente Beach A casual restaurant attached to the waterpark, diners can visit without entry into the park! The cheeseburger is our go-to on the menu, and we love it!

Lakeway Lake Travis Resort and Spa We stayed at Lakeway last year and loved all the amenities!
