DFW Best Spring Playdates, 2021

Spring is just around the corner, and the warm weather is a great time to get the kids out for some fun playdates where you can meet-up with friends or just hang out! Here’s my 12 favorites for this Spring, one of each week of the season!

1.  Grand Prairie 

PlayGrand Adventures is Grand Prairie’s fun and FREE, all-abilities playground! It’s huge, and pretty amazing!

Epic Waters Indoor Water Park, which is the largest indoor water park in North Texas and is fun for the entire family! Tiny Tot Time is each Monday from 8:30 – 10:30am, and adults are FREE with child admission, $10 first child, $5 for any additional children, 5 and under.

Lynn Creek Park This city owned park offers a great ship-themed playground, with a swim beach with imported sand.  Don’t forget your sand toys!  Pack a picnic or grab lunch at the Oasis, which is the BEST place to feed fish and ducks in the metroplex!  Great during the week, packed on the weekends!  FREE for Grand Prairie residents, $10/carload for non-residents. 

2.  Fort Worth

The Fort Worth Zoo has opened their newest exhibit, Elephant Springs, and it’s amazing!

Dream Park, located in Trinity Park, is an incredible, FREE, all-abilities park!

Seaquest Interactive Aquarium offers a new concept in aquariums, you can actually touch and in many cases feed the animals, such as iguanas, stingrays and capybaras! 

Fort Worth Nature Center offers hikes for all ages and abilities! Your kiddos will love seeing the bison and prairie dog town, and there are tables available at the center for a picnic!

3.  Arlington – 

River Legacy Living Science Center offers a unique Discovery Room for little hands. The park has a fun playground and plenty of room to run!

4.  Dallas

The Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden at the Dallas Arboretum is one of our favorites!

Klyde Warren Park has a terrific playground, splash area and so much more!

Dallas Zoo has an incredible Children’s Zoo, great for a play date!

5.  Burleson

The Brick Indoor Pool has slides, a small lazy river and is perfect for younger children! 

6.  Hurst

The Artisan Theater does amazing, interactive kids shows! 

7.  Cedar Hill

Dogwood Canyon has a 1 mile, stroller-friendly hike.

8.  Plano

Crayola Experience is a neat place to meet with friends with something for everyone!

9.  Grapevine

Peppa Pig World of Play, located in Grapevine Mills Mall, is a great play-date destination!
