While the Galleria Ice Skating Center is always a fun place to go skating, during the holidays it’s a magical place as skaters flip, spin and fall around the largest indoor Christmas tree in the United States!
Know Before You Go
The Christmas tree lights are synchronized to the Christmas music every day at 12, 2, 4, 6 and 8.
BYOS – Bring Your Own Socks
No in and out privileges, meaning don’t return your skates if you want to skate later. Of course, 20 minutes after the started skating my youngest was STARVING. Grab a rinkside table at Mi Cocina, where they can eat and return to skating when they are done, plus you can watch them skate while drinking… something.
Most of the skaters at the Galleria during the holidays are not serious skaters, but just there for the experience of skating around the tree, which means you won’t feel bad about your lack of ice skating skills!
Check the center’s calendar for special events and skate shows during the holiday, including the special tree lighting ceremony early in December.
