At 5,280 feet long, you can literally float your cares away as you relax on this Texas Lazy River, which takes about an hour for just one lap all the way around! It’s the perfect way to chill on a hot, summer afternoon, or enjoy the party on a weekend with your friends! Either way, check out my tips for living your best life on the river!

The Lazy River, just one of the attractions at BSR Cable Park, is fun for the whole family, or with friends.

You’ll love their tubes, with backrest and cup holders, perfect for a day on the river!
They also offer cooler tubes! You can bring your own cooler, filled with snacks, water, soft drinks and alcohol are all allowed, but absolutely no glass!
Throw your sunscreen in the cooler, you’ll want to reapply, and cold lotion just feels great!
Don’t forget to apply sunscreen to your knees, unless you are in the 1% that finds Tuber Tans attractive…

Much of the river is shaded by the gorgeous trees that line the riverbank!

The river is about 3′ deep, and children under 12 are required to wear a life jacket.
The River takes you on a mile trip, and like a real river, once you get on there aren’t a lot of places to get out. Be ready to spend about an hour or longer floating around, especially on busier days. Go ahead and visit the restroom before you jump in!
Early in the day, the river is the perfect place for a peaceful siesta in your tube, but the party does pick up as the day goes on.

I brought a small dry bag with me for my keys and a swim cover-up. I love this clear bag from Amazon. I also needed my phone for a Zoom call while we were on the river, don’t judge, that was my office for the day, and I brought my favorite, floating phone case. I haven’t been able to find another like it.
Water shoes aren’t really needed on the river, but I love my Teva sandals!

Waivers are required to be signed by all participants, and here’s a big tip! Sign online before you get there! You’ll get in and out and on the river so much faster!

It’s a definite Happy Place!

A few of the other attractions at BSR include the slides! You can purchase these as a combo or separately. You’ll definitely catch some air on the Royal Flush, the largest of the slides!
Life jackets are required by anyone on the slides. You can bring your own or borrow one of their’s.

The BSR Surf Resort sits on the island formed by the Lazy River! You can surf, or take even take lessons. You can also purchase a pass to just hang out on the beach!

First and foremost, BSR is a cable park! They offer classes and Summer camps. My youngest attended a week long camp about 2 years ago, and had a blast!
The island formed by the wake park is home to some cute and furry lemurs! While you can’t pet them, you can sometimes see them, and it’s just fun knowing that they are there!
There is also a restaurant in the Main Building, which is a great place to relax, or hang out on the wake park beach!
While dogs are not allowed in the river or slides, or surf area, they are allowed at the Wake Park!

BSR also has cabins for the ultimate weekend getaway!

BSR strives to be family-friendly, and the helpful and courteous staff works to make sure everyone visiting keeps it that way! During our visit, all the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed! The boys had a little fun with the signs.
