The rule of thumb at dog parks is that a dog must be at least 4 months old, and have been given it’s final round of puppy shots and rabies vaccination. Our little pup, Dublin’s rabies tag hadn’t been affixed to her collar 72 hours before we began taking her to dog parks! One of two dog parks in Fort Worth, Z Bonz is the newest and offers lots of fun activities for dogs! At 10 acres, it’s one of the largest in the state. Divided for smaller (3 acres) and larger dogs (7 acres), there is plenty of room for socializing with other dogs, practicing fetch or agility training on their course!
Dublin, at 4 months is still just a pup, but she’s a little overly-excited and playful for the smaller dog area. She loves to run full-out with the larger dogs!
The huge water feature attracts a lot of water dogs to the park, and I loved sitting back and watching as they run and jump in the water after balls!
There is also quite a bit of shade, and a covered sitting area with tables so a dog’s human can do a little socializing, too!
Before we left, we loved the handy dog wash, because our little pup loves the mud! Outside of the fenced dog park is a little walking trail where we walked around while she dried off!
