I live in a house full of dinosaur fanatics, so I knew that we would have to head to Downtown Historic Grapevine this summer when I heard that they had all gone prehistoric! Main Street has been overtaken by dinosaurs, and your kids will love it! There are 43 merchants that are jumping on the Jurassic wagon, all in walking distance, with fun activities, photo ops, train rides and much more!

Be the Dinosaur
Explore the life of a dinosaur. Visitors learn about their diets and habitat, as well as survival, during a video game.
Purchase tickets online or at the door. Click HERE for more information or to buy tickets.
For my dinosaur and video game obsessed 8-year-old, this was heaven! A $4.00 ticket allows them to play as much as they want!
Settlement to City Museums
After dragging my little guy out, we headed over to the museums next door. We enjoyed seeing the little schoolhouse and my boy was thrilled with the small toy dinosaur he was given just for coming in to say hello!
Each Wednesday, Friday and Saturday you can press your own design on a t-shirt, using their old press! Cost is $10 and includes a tshirt! Purchase tickets online or when you arrive.
Nat and Willy Gunfights
Not dino-related, but we headed outside just in time to watch the Gunfight atop the tower! The gunfights happen daily at Noon, 3, 6, and 9pm. My 8-year-old defined it as “like a Texas-styled coo-coo clock”!
Pick up a map of all the shops that have done to the dinos at the Grand Gallery! There are even restaurants with dinosaur-inspired menu items, like Dr Sue’s chocolates, who’s making dinosaur pops, and A.J.’s on Main, who has a giant rib or get a raptor sandwich at Weinberger’s Delicatessen.
