Grapevine has so many attractions such as Great Wolf Lodge, Legoland, the vineyards and Lake Grapevine that it’s easy to forget about some of the fun and free activities the city boast! A very progressive city when it comes to outdoor activities, the city has some of the best parks and playgrounds in the Metroplex, as well as bike and hiking trails! The Botanical Gardens at Heritage Park offer a quiet escape from the noise and traffic of the nearby highways, and is a place filled with natural beauty!

Know Before You Go
The Gardens are FREE, and so is parking.
Pack your picnic for a great lunch in the park.

Koi Pond
Bring something to feed the fish, but instead of bread, grab a small bag of koi food at your local pet store. It’s much more nutritious, and remember to not overfeed them, which leads to mucking up the waters!

Seasons
The Gardens are full of color in each of the different seasons! We visited in February, and loved all the white bulbs blooming in the beds!

There’s more to this statue than meets the eye, it’s also a geocache! Geocaching is a fun activity for the entire family! If you are new to geocaching, or want to learn more, click HERE to visit geocaching.com, watch an introductory video and get started (for free) on your own adventure!

Playground and Tennis Courts
After our walk through the gardens, the kids had to have a little time on the playground!
