Lone Star Carriage Company of Jefferson

Historic Jefferson Railway

Climb aboard the antique locomotive for a trip along Big Cypress Bayou.  The train runs special events each October, December and April for the Civil War Reenactment of the Great Locomotive Chase!  Click  HERE to read more.

Turning Basin Riverboat Tour

Take a tour of Big Cypress Bayou from the water!  This hour-long tour gives you a history of the Caddo Lake and the Red River Raft that created the lake.

Eat

Jefferson has no shortage of great restaurants, but you MUST try Kitt’s Kornbread Sandwich and Pie Barn!  Sandwiches are piled high between 2 slices of cornbread in this old building in Downtown Jefferson!  Click HERE to see their menu!
