I grew up in Houston, and going to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo was an annual tradition for us! Now that I live in the DFW Metroplex, I’m thrilled to take my my kids to the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo each year. And each year someone always ask the inevitable question, which one is BETTER?
I never answer them and I won’t answer that here, either. However I will tell you that they are both terrific, and here’s some of my reasons why I love the Fort Worth Stock Show!
I love seeing the FFA and 4H kids with their show animals! They work so hard, and it’s great that other kids can see that dedication!
Baby Animals!! The FFA Children’s Barnyard has lots of cute baby animals for the kids to see!
There are even baby chicks just hatching out of eggs!
Inside Planet Agriculture, the are various booths about Texas farming!
Of course, all the FOOD at the Stock Show is AMAZING!
The Midway has lots of great rides and games, too! Rides are purchased with coupons, and you can pay for them with credit cards!

There is also a dairy cow exhibit!
And we were lucky enough to get to see one being milked!
But there are live milking demonstrations everyday!
They are milked by a milking machine.
Of course, there is plenty of SHOPPING, too!
