Fort Worth Botanic Gardens is comprised of 17 gardens, and is ever changing as the seasons and flowers change. which is why it’s one of our favorite places to spend time! It’s incredible location, on University across from Trinity Park, right off the Trinity Trail and minutes from the Fort Worth Zoo and Museums, is another reason we find ourselves stopping by as often as possible!

Parking is FREE.
Pets are not allowed at the Botanic Gardens
Bring your imagination for great games of pretend play, but leave all balls, kites and bikes/scooters/skateboards at home.
For 2022, the special exhibits Big Bugs and Stickworks will be on display in the gardens!
The Fuller Garden
Located behind the Conservatory, this is my favorite garden. The trellis garden is absolutely amazing in spring!
The Rose Garden
One of the most beautiful gardens, the Rose Garden was completed in 1933 using over 4,000 tons of Palo Pinto (the region west of Fort Worth) sandstone.
Texas Native Forest Boardwalk
All along this raised boardwalk there are interactive educational exhibits!
My kids love the whisper tubes that run along much of the boardwalk!
The North and South Vista
A large lawn bordered by flowering plants and tall trees, and a favorite for picnics in the garden! It is also the location of summer’s Concerts in the Garden, followed by fireworks! Check the website for ticket prices, and children 10 and under FREE! Be sure to take plenty of glow sticks and toys, or buy some there! Click HERE for more information on tickets!

Rain Forest Conservatory Home to Butterflies in the Garden each Spring, this temperature-controlled conservatory is filled with amazing tropical plants!
Japanese Garden Stroll through the bamboo, magnolias, japanese maples and cherry trees in this peaceful garden dotted with bridges and home to over 1,200 koi fish in the pond.
My kids were just naughty, and playing in the water features isn’t allowed at the Botanic Gardens! Hopefully, they will one day add a fun way to cool off on a hot day, but until they do, head over to either the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History to play in the fountains in front of the museum, or the splash park at Sundance Square!

One of the gems of Fort Worth, Sundance Square in Downtown offers great restaurants, shopping and entertainment.
The Log Cabin Village has cabins from the Texas Pioneer Days, with hands-on activities for the entire family! Watch as they dip candles and mill grains, too! I love their sensory garden! Click HERE to read more!

Fairfield Inn and Suites on University has a great location, clean and comfortable rooms, free breakfast and an indoor pool!
VRBO has some terrific homes available for even 1 night stays in the Fort Worth Cultural District for the same cost as a hotel room! If you’re coming for a wedding at the gardens, definitely check out some of the larger homes on Tanglewood Golf Course, home of the Colonial PGA!
