In honor of National Public Gardens week, here’s our favorite Botanical Gardens and Arboretums in Texas!

Dallas Blooms at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens Peacock Topiary

Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, Dallas Always named one of the best in the South, the Dallas Arboretum in Six Flags for flower lovers! From Dallas Blooms during the Spring to amazing Pumpkin Patch each Fall, there’s always something to see at the Dallas Arboretum!

Houston Arboretum and Nature Center, Houston Explore the trails at this arboretum in a much more natural setting, with a neat little interpretive center, too.

Mercer Botanic Gardens, Humble This unique and FREE public garden offers two distinct different sides, literally. One side of Aldine Westfield Road is a natural forest with marked and paved trails where cottontails crossed my path as I walked through. The other side of the road are more tended gardens and a fun Children’s Garden.

San Antonio Botanical Gardens, San Antonio Explore this gem in San Antonio, with plenty of events for everyone!

Zilker Botanic Gardens, Austin The “Prehistoric Garden” makes this a frequent visit for our family!

Fort Worth Botanic Gardens, Fort Worth The Japanese Garden is a favorite of mine!

Clark Gardens, Weatherford My son still just loves the Train Garden, which winds around part of this beautiful public garden and event venue.
