Considered the biggest Light Parade in North Texas, the Grapevine Parade of Lights takes place on the 1st Thursday each December.  The parade is FREE, and so much fun!  It is really crowded, so arrive early, enjoy a little shopping and dining before the parade!

One of the amazing things to do in Downtown Grapevine each December is to help make your own Glass Ornament at Vetro Glass Studio!  We had so much fun making ours, and they are really a beautiful keepsake!  You can make a reservation, and they do have special walk-in times!
Blacksmith in Historic Downtown Grapevine
The most popular of activities in Downtown Grapevine has to be the fun North Pole Express Train Ride!  Guest dressed in their pajamas board the vintage trains for a trip to the North Pole to meet Santa!  Here’s a tip, tickets go on sale in July, and quickly sell out for this amazing experience!

Restaurants
Downtown Grapevine has some amazing restaurants, too!  If you follow me on Instagram, you know we often visit Esparza’s Mexican Restaurant, set in a big, old house just off Main Street!  Another dependable favorite is Big Fish Seafood Grill!   For something fun, don’t miss the historic Tolbert’s Chili Parlor!
Be sure to check out Mason and Dixie, a cute restaurant Downtown with a fun staff and great sandwiches!
The Hotel Vin in Downtown, just across the railroad tracks, is the perfect place to take some terrific Christmas pictures, with several adorable little Christmas photo booths!  Enjoy live music, drinks and a great assortment of places to eat at the hotel, too!
