The premier Christmas event in South Texas, Holiday in the Park, returns to Six Flags Fiesta Texas on November 23! Bask in delightful holiday enchantment for the entire family featuring our dazzling Holiday Express train ride, enchanting caroling Christmas Tree family, and our family favorite spectacular live nativity show, The Majesty of Christmas. New this year is the Magic of the Season Ornament, an illuminated giant globe that makes a wonderful family photo opportunity, and a new live show, The Heart of the Holidays, presented in Rockville High. Adding to the festive atmosphere are a majestic 60-ft. tall beautifully decorated Christmas Tree, along with numerous holiday shows, tasty treats, thrilling rides, and even Santa himself!   Offered select days from November 23 through January 1 (with the exception of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day), the park is transformed into a winter wonderland with thousands of colorful twinkling lights and special holiday décor located throughout the Park.

Holiday Entertainment

The Majesty of Christmas – The season’s most popular show, the Majesty of Christmas, is FREE with park admission!  This holiday spectacular presents an exciting visual reenactment of the Nativity, including breathtaking vocal performances by Mary and Joseph, a manger surrounded by live animals, and angels flying through the sky. This magical show comes to life at the Zaragoza Theatre through December 23.

NEW The Heart of the Holidays – A heartwarming musical celebration brought to life through holiday hits, both current and classic, presented in Rockville High.  This production features our talented entertainers performing holiday hits like “The Man With the Bag,” “Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays,” and “Keep Christmas With You.”

The Tinseltones – Catch these contemporary a cappella carolers as they entertain audiences during Holiday in the Park! You will find these performers as our present to you, nestled right next to our Christmas tree in Rockville. Songs performed include the classic “Jingle Bells” and “Shake it up Christmas.”

Santa’s Cottage – Santa’s Cottage provides a quaint, charming experience where guests may see the elves hard at work preparing toys for good girls and boys, enjoy beautiful holiday décor and personally meet-and-greet Santa. Located next to Bubba’s restaurant in Crackaxle Canyon.

Have Yourself a Looney Tunes Christmas – Get into the spirit of the season with Bugs and his Looney Tunes friends during Have Yourself a Looney Tunes Christmas. Stop by Sangerfest Halle to sing and dance along to family favorites like “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” and “Feliz Navidad.”

The Singing Saps – Sing along and take photos with this animated, caroling Christmas Tree Family as they perform such favorites as “Rudolph,” “White Christmas,” “Frosty the Snowman,” and “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” The charming Singing Saps may be found on the Kidzopolis stage.

Holiday Attractions

NEW “Magic of the Season” Ornament – Take a family photo while strolling through our delightful giant holiday ornament in Texas State Square.  A twinkling white canopy of lights with flourishes of intense blue and royal purple will surround you as you enter this enchanting globe.

“Winter Wonderland” – Wander through our new Winter Wonderland themed area between Crackaxle Canyon and Spassburg, where you can enjoy dazzling lights, see the ice princess, or experience periodic snowfall.

“Hometown Holidays”– Walk down main street Rockville and reminisce under the elaborate swags of Christmas décor. Mingle with our characters and take a photo in front of the giant Christmas Tree while sipping on a hot cocoa.

Christmas Tree Lighting – Adorned with tens of thousands of red, green and white lights, a memorable family photo opportunity as our 60-ft. tree takes on an illuminated brilliance amid a festive celebration!

Holiday Illuminations – Enjoy a synchronized light spectacular to classic and contemporary musical favorites at our giant Christmas Tree each evening in Rockville.   A perfect gathering place for friends and family to bask in the glory of the season!

Holiday Express – Ride the seasonally adorned “Holiday Express” Train through Fiesta Texas and view heartwarming and whimsical Yuletide scenes designed to captivate your entire family.  You may board the “Holiday Express” in Crackaxle Canyon.

Holiday Falls – Experience visual holiday magic at night during Holiday in the Park. The enchanting quarry waterfalls become a canvas for holiday magic displaying beautiful holiday visuals that light up the park at night.

Holiday Thrills

Enjoy the thrilling coasters during Holiday in the Park!  Holiday in the Park offers thrillingly magical fun for the whole family including the Iron Rattler, and delightful children’s play area Kidzopolis.

Enjoy the newest innovation in thrill ride technology and the world’s first-ever single rail Wonder Woman themed roller coaster — WONDER WOMAN:  Golden Lasso Coaster. This cutting-edge marvel features a first-of-its-kind single I-beam rail with riders seated single file and their legs positioned on either side of the thin monorail track.

For the little elves in your group, there are fun rides for everyone to enjoy! Enjoy nonstop fun in Kidzopolis on Zoomjets or roam the park and experience Kinderstein in Spassburg for fun thrills!

Special Treats

Once you’ve hit some rides, enjoy tasty holiday park offerings including turkey legs, and hot chocolate with special mix-ins located at Sangerfest Halle. A creative twist on indulgent treats will also be featured with fried Oreos and other options available at Mockingbird in Los Festivales.  A fun addition will be several s’mores locations at fire pits in Crackaxle Canyon and Spassburg.

The San Antonio Aquarium is a very interactive aquarium with many animals encounters, including snorkeling with searays!

We love the hikes, both hard and soft surfaces, at Friedrich Wilderness Park, but be advised that pets, including dogs, are not allowed.

For a fun selfie, head over to North Star Mall and the Largest Boots in Texas!

Eat

Palenque Grill is South Texas cuisine, such as the Medio Pollo Asado a la Parilla, one of my favorites!  Whiskey Cake is another Texas-based chain that offers good, locally sourced food.

Stay

I love La Cantera in San Antonio, which is very close, offers a complimentary shuttle to Six Flags, and has so many activities, but if you are just looking for a place to lay your head for the night, check out Courtyard by Marriott at the Rim.
