Firehouse Pottery, Fort Worth

I’d often heard my son and his grandmother talk about wanting to learn how to make pottery, so for Christmas is was a no-brainer to purchase gift cards for them to take lessons together!  Finding the right place was a little more difficult, because I wanted somewhere that would indulge my 11-year-old and allow them to work together.  A lot of research led me to Firehouse Pottery in nearby Fort Worth, and I purchased them both lessons!  They were thrilled on Christmas morning!

Pottery lessons are 2 separate classes, and during the first one they learned to turn the wheel and shape what they were making!

The second class was glazing their creation and then sending it off to the kiln.  We had to arrange to pick them up a few days later.  They both really enjoyed it, and I enjoyed watching them spend this precious time together!  My son can’t wait to do it again, and actually uses the bowl he made to eat cereal each morning!
