From it’s beautiful views, great rooms and unmatched service, you can’t help but love staying at the Hyatt Regency in Downtown Houston! My daughter and I spent a girl’s weekend in Downtown Houston, and had such a great time! Check out my tips for planning your own weekend getaway!
The hotel offers valet parking, with in and out privileges. There is less expensive parking just across the street, but not with in and out. As we were coming and going quite a bit, they even left our car on the main floor so we wouldn’t have a long wait.
When making your reservations, do ask about complementary valet parking room specials, as they do sometimes offer them.
Also, be sure to enroll in Hyatt Members to receive your Hyatt Points! Click HERE to read more about it.
The glass elevators give you views of either the inside of the hotel, or of outside. We were on the 25th floor, so we had quite a good view on the way up!
Located on the 6th floor, we had to go visit the rooftop pool! It’s heated during the winter, so you can swim anytime! Even on a cold Sunday morning, we loved swimming, and having the pool to ourselves. The rooms on the 6th floor open out onto the pool.
We always pack a swimsuit, no matter the weather.
We had a double room on the 25th floor, which had an amazing view of downtown!

Standing in Smith Street, that’s the former Enron Tower on the right.
We really enjoyed the beautiful weather and spent a day just walking around Downtown Houston!
Russos Pizzeria is located on the ground floor, across Polk Street from they Hyatt, and is SO good! This is the original location, although there are several now around the state! Click HERE to visit their website.

We enjoyed a fun ride over to Sam Houston Park. Click HERE for more information.
The Hyatt also offers complementary bike rentals to guest! You’re only a few blocks from Buffalo Bayou, and it’s a great place to ride bikes! Bring your own helmet!
