Magical Winter Lights, La Marque

Magical Winter Lights Houston

Magical Winter Lights is a holiday lantern festival in La Marque, South of Houston, and it’s just incredible!  We went during their opening weekend, and absolutely loved it!  Here’s some incredible tips for making your visit the best it can be!

Magical Winter Lights Houston

We arrived as soon as they opened at 5pm, and stayed until the closed that evening!  Even though the lights weren’t as incredible at dusk, it gave us a good chance to take some fun pictures that we wouldn’t have been able to after dark!

But the lights are so much better after dark!

It’s also not as crowded when the first open, even on a weekend.

They have Lights from around the world!  I love this one of my daughter in front of Paris!

Regardless of when you arrive, it’s a good idea to eat before you come so you’re not hungry.  They have plenty of concession type food, so you can still get a good junk-food fix!

I love these Russian Nesting Dolls, with cuts out for your head.  This is an example of something that just wouldn’t have been as good after dark when you couldn’t see their faces!  My son still has a little ways to grow!

Just a slightly different angle as the sun was setting and this picture was almost too dark.

We traveled to Egypt to see the pyramids….

Arrive early to get a good seat for the Chinese Acrobats, it was an incredible show!  The show is included in your ticket price.
