Know Before You Go

FREE parking!

There are picnic tables near the parking lots, but outside food and drinks are not allowed.

Wagons and strollers are welcome, and the zoo has rentals available.

Bison, deer, otters and more inhabit the North America exhibit.

Bring change to feed the fish.

Don’t miss the River Otter feeding!  Live fish are placed in the water, and you can watch as they chase and catch them!

The zoo is home to bald eagles who were found injured, and are not able to be released back into the wild.

African Savanna Exhibit

Watch the majestic lion and playful penguins, among other animals in the African Savanna.  Scheduled to open in 2017 is a new elephant and giraffe habitat, with a giraffe feeding area!

Wild Bird Walkabout

Bring a dollar or two to purchase seed sticks for the Wild Bird Walkabout, filled with over 600 parakeets and cockatiels!  The birds will fly right on you when you hold a stick, and happily hang out as long as you have food!

Children’s Barnyard

Have your camera ready to get some cute pics of these kids, animal and human ones!

We made the HUGE sandbox at the zoo, filled with a tractor, old truck and more, our last stop at the zoo!  There were plenty of sand toys, so we didn’t need to bring any, and they had a GREAT time building a sand city with some other children!

Play

Tiger Creek Wildlife Refuge is home to over 40 big cats that have been rescued.  Click HERE to read more.
