Tour of Lights, Farmers Branch

The Farmer’s Branch Tour of Lights is a drive-thru light display just off I-35.  We really enjoyed driving through and singing with the radio to the Christmas songs that are choreographed with the lights!  The Tour of Lights is FREE, but donations are accepted for local charities.

Know Before You Go

It’s located at Valley View and I-35.

Make a potty stop before getting in line, there are no restrooms inside.

The lights are choreographed to music on radio station 107.3 FM.

Weekdays have less traffic than weekends.

Pack some snacks and hot chocolate, as well as blankets, then roll down the windows and have fun!

Call to check before driving out during inclement weather.

We visited on a weekday, and from I-35 and Valley View, it took us about 45 minutes to see all the lights.

The Tour of Lights is set in Farmer’s Branch Historical Park, on 27 acres with several historical buildings.  The Historical Park is open year round for tours.

Over half a million lights twinkle along the drive.

The historical buildings are lit up, and while you can’t stop along the drive, each building is appropriately decorated for Christmas to their respective year.  Tours are given on the evening of the Christmas Tree Lighting.

Santa is waiting at the end of the drive to pass out candy canes to visitors as you drive by!

The tunnel of lights was our favorite!

Pharr’s Christmas Extravaganza

Another Farmer’s Branch Christmas favorite is Pharr’s Christmas Extravaganza, which is a private residence gone wild with Christmas spirit!  Sadly, they did not decorate for 2015.  Click HERE to visit their facebook page for future updates!
