1. Know Before You Go
Dress warmly, it’s chilly in there.
Group tickets are available for 10 or more, for as low as $5/person.
Parking is FREE.
No outside food or drink is allowed inside NYTex Sports Centre.
Following each goal, fans are encouraged to throw a little purple Brahma onto the ice, which looks so cool when they are all being thrown! They can be purchased when you first come in. Be sure and buy early, because they sell out quickly!
3. Broom Ball
During the first period intermission, pre-chosen kids were allowed to come out on the ice for a fun game of Broom Ball!
NYTex offers Broom Ball games and birthday parties year round.
Who doesn’t love watching a Zamboni? They come out to resurface the ice during each of the 2 intermissions!
5. “I went to a fight, and a hockey game broke out.”
Yes, there were a couple of attempts at fighting, which is a huge fan pleaser (okay, so this isn’t the opera)! It is kind of exciting when the players throw down their gloves…
6. Brick Boy
The ACME Brick mascot came out on the ice during intermissions, into the stands for high fives and photo ops, as well as a little wrestling with some of the younger fans! Good form, Brick Boy!
