Austin/Hill Country

Now – Nov. 6 Screams Hollow Haunted Halloween Park, Bastrop Truly the most terrifying haunted house I have ever visited. There are 5 haunted houses, with concessions, live music and novelties.

Sept. 23-26 Bastrop Music Festival, Bastrop Over 40 musical show, food, drinks and fun await you in charming Bastrop. While you’re there, PawPaws Catfish House is a favorite of mine, try the deep fried deviled eggs!

Oct. 2 – Jan. 30th, 2022 Fortlandia returns to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.

Oct. 9-31st Great Hill Country Pumpkin Patch at Love Creek Orchards, Medina Come out to spend a day at the Pumpkin Patch!

Oct. 9 Sandlot Baseball World Series, Austin Come cheer on the Texas Playboys as they take on the Tulsa City Saturns in this fun game!

Nov. 5-14th Wurstfest, New Braunfels Oktoberfest in the HIll Country!

San Antonio

Now – October 31st Fright Fest at Six Flags Fiesta Texas Enjoy the thrills and chills at Fright Fest, with a wonderful fireworks finale.

Nightly Sister’s Grim Ghost Tours Ranked the #2 Ghost Tour in the Country by USA Today, walk through the historic streets of of San Antonio, where every street corner has a story.

DFW/North Texas

Now – Feb. 21, 2022 Dinosaurs Live! at the Heard Museum, McKinney Walk the trail and see the animatronic dinosaurs!

Now – Oct. 31st Autumn at the Arboretum, Dallas The Dallas Arboretum premier Fall Festival, featuring more than 90,000 pumpkins and rated by Southern Living as one of the best Fall Festival in the South.

September 24 -25th The Romans are invading Old Fort Parker, Mexia See old world battle armour, and learn more about the Romans during this reenactment at the Old Fort.

Sept. 24 -Oct. 17th The State Fair of Texas, Dallas Fair Park So much fun, fried foods, carnival rides, animals, live music, attractions, shows and much more!

Sept. 24 -Oct. 31st Mainstay Farms Pumpkin Days, Cleburne A great place to just let the kids run and play, with animals to pet, pumpkin patch, and so much more!

Oct. 1 -30th Screams Halloween Park, Waxahachie Haunted houses are just part of the fun at this Halloween Festival, with live music, games, entertainers, shops and so much more!

Oct. 8-9th Crazy Water Festival, Mineral Wells A fun festival with live music, food and kids events.

Oct. 23-24 Fort Worth Alliance Air Show The sky above Alliance Airport is filled with classic warbirds and thundering jets at the annual air show.

East Texas 

Oct. 14-17 The 88th Tyler Rose Festival Enjoy the festival and Rose Parade.

Houston/Galveston

Sept. 18-26 Shen Yun Chinese Dance Company Culturally significant dances to the Chinese, no longer allowed to be performed in China are displayed at this phenomenal show.

Sept. 24th Screen on the Green, Discovery Green Houston Watch Hocus Pocus on this fun and FREE outdoor movie!

Sept. 24-25 Galveston Island Shrimp Festival Praise the beautiful and delicious Gulf Shrimp at this fun 2-day festival!

Oct. 1-31 Zoo Boo at the Houston Zoo A not-scary good time for kids!

South Texas/South Padre Island/The Valley

Feb. 3-5, 2022 SPI Kite Festival Enjoy the warmth of the island during the big annual kite festival.

Texas Plains and Panhandle

Now – Nov. 6 At’l Do Farm Corn Maze, Lubbock Enjoy making your way around the huge corn maze during the day, or for a more frightening turn, try it after dark.

Waco/Central Texas/Brazos Valley

Now – Oct. 31st Robinson Family Farm Pumpkin Patch You’ll love all there is to do at this fun Pumpkin Patch in Temple!

El Paso and West Texas

Sept. 22-25 Trans-Pecos Festival of Music and Love, Marfa Held at the legendary El Cosmico, the annual festival is something not to be missed, if music and love are your thing! They have sandlot baseball and if you haven’t been to a game, you really are missing out! Check out the Texas Playboys from Austin, or the Los Yanke Gallos from Marfa.

Oct. 9-10 Chalk the Block, El Paso Since its inception, CTB has quickly become one of El Paso’s premiere events and the largest FREE three-day public arts festival in the Southwest region drawing 45,000 people annually. In 2019, CTB is celebrating 12 years of reimagining downtown El Paso through the power of art while providing an “out of this world” experience for its attendees. Each year, about 200 local, national and international artists from all disciplines participate at CTB creating a fun, quirky and diverse environment for people of all ages to enjoy. The event features: Temporary interactive art installations, live dance and theatrical performances, a sidewalk chalk art competition, live bands, art and food vendors, access to various activities and exhibits at both the El Paso Museum of Art and Museum of History and more!

Nov. 3-6th Terlingua Chili Cook Off, Terlingua The Original Chili Cook-off, come for music, judge some chili and take in the magnificence that is Big Bend!
