Lake Texoma Family Fun Things To Do

Lake Texoma on the Texas-Oklahoma Borders is a beautiful lake with so many terrific things to do!  It’s clear, cool waters are the complete oppose of the red clay waters of the Red River, which was impounded to create the lake!  Spend a day or weekend on the lake, exploring the two state parks, one in Texas and one in Oklahoma, rent a boat or watercraft to play on the water, go fishing or pack a backpack and hit on the trails around the lake!  There’s so much to do you’ll find yourself packing a bag to spend the weekend at a resort or cabin!

Know Before You Go

Be prepared to drain and clean your boat before you leave.

You need an Oklahoma Fishing License to fish on the OK side of the lake.  TX residents can apply for a one day license. The boundary runs pretty much down the middle of the lake, but check a map.  A Tx fishing license is required to fish on the Texas side of the lake, or you can fish without one from the shore or pier at Eisenhower State Park.
