Dallas Farmer’s Market
The Dallas Farmer’s Market is one of our favorite places to take out-of-town guest! The Market offers so much, from the expected produce sellers, to plants of every type and even amazing food and cooking classes!
Know Before You Go
The Dallas Farmer’s Market is located in downtown Dallas. If you aren’t familiar with Dallas, it can be a bit hard to find, but your GPS will get you there without a problem.
The Shed is only open Friday – Sunday, but the time to visit is early Saturday.
TAKE CASH, because not every farmer takes credit.
Bring grocery bags to carry home your purchases.
The DFM verifies that the farmers are not bringing in produce from more than 150 miles away, local ranchers, milk and eggs. That being said, the amount and selection is not always dependable, since everything is seasonal. As a child, my parents would occasionally give me a little money to spend at the store on candy. Putting a spin on that tradition, I give each of my children a little money (usually $5/each) to spend on HEALTHY food! They love picking it out, and I encourage them to ask the sellers questions about where the food came, etc. and to try new ones. Many of the vendors will offer samples, too.
Check the Farmers Market facebook page and website for upcoming special events, such as Wednesday Story Time and Craft Time, and complementary movies during the summer! Click HeRE to visit their facebook page.
I love T-Rex Pickles, which are made using a local craft beer, Four Corners Beer! The alcohol is cooked out, and while I don’t love beer, it gives the pickles a great, unique taste! Click HERE to visit their facebook page!
New this year, the market installed this fun water table to keep the kids busy! My son certainly loved it!
The Market is open year-round, 7 days a week. Not only are there cute shops, but some of my favorite restaurants, too!

Ruibal’s began as a vendor at the market, and has grown into 4 stores serving the Dallas community! All the parking at the Dallas Farmers Market is FREE!
Amigos Pottery, just across the street from the Farmers Market, sells some fun pottery!
One of our favorite Pick-Your-Own Orchards, Larken Farms fabulous peaches and plums will be at the market this year! Be sure to look for them! To read more about their pick-your-own orchard, click HERE.
